Big Game Seasons
Nonresident deer permit applications accepted online from April 1-30, 2010.
2010 DEER
Application Deadlines: Resident Any-Deer Draw: July 16 , 2010; Resident Whitetail Any Season Permit: Dec 30, 2010; Resident Archery: Jan. 30, 2011; All Nonresident: April 30, 2010; Antlerless Whitetail Permit: Jan 30, 2011; Hunt-own-Land Permit: Dec. 30, 2010.
2010 PROPOSED Deer Season Dates:
- Proposed Youth and Disabled: Sept.11 - Sept. 19, 2010 (Youth 16 and younger, who possess a valid deer permit, may hunt during this special deer season only while under the immediate supervision of an adult 18 or older. Any person who possesses a valid deer permit and has a permit to hunt from a vehicle pursuant to KAR 115-18-4 or a disability assistance permit issued pursuant to KAR 115-18-15 may also hunt during this season. All resident and nonresident permits are valid, and equipment restrictions designated on permits apply. Hunter orange is required.
- Proposed Muzzleloader: Sept. 20 - Oct. 3, 2010 (The following permits may be used during this season in units specified on permit, using muzzleloader or archery equipment: resident or nonresident Muzzleloader Either-species/Either-sex Permit, resident Any-Season White-tailed Deer Permit, nonresident Muzzleloader White-tailed Deer Permit, Hunt-Own-Land Permit, Special Hunt-Own-Land Permit, Antlerless White-tailed Deer Permit, and Antlerless Either-Species Deer Permit. Hunter orange clothing is required
- Proposed Archery: Sept. 20 - Dec. 31, 2010
- Proposed Early Firearm (DMU 19 only): Oct. 9 - Oct.17, 2010
- Proposed Regular Firearm: Dec. 1 - Dec. 12, 2010
- Proposed Extended Whitetail Antlerless-OnlyFirearm Whitetail: Jan.1 - Jan.9, 2011 ( Open for Units 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 19 only)
- ProposedExtended Archery Whitetail Antlerless-Only (DMU 19): Jan. 10 - Jan. 31, 2011
- Proposed Special Extended Firearm Whitetail Antlerless-Only: Jan.10- Jan.16, 2011 ( Open for units 7, 8 and 15 only)
- Shooting Hours: One-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset.

Annual Hunting License - All annual hunting licenses can be purchased online by clicking here or through all licensed agents, or Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks offices.

- National Guard Permit: State funding in the amount of $60,000 has been made available to provide free Hunting and Fishing licenses and State Park permits to active members of the Kansas National Guard. DO NOT FAX!
KS Disabled Veterans:State funding has been made available to provide free Hunting and Fishing licenses to resident Disabled Veterans with at least 30% disability. Applicant must provide a copy of current disabled veterans entitlement papers showing proof of at least 30% disability. Please allow 2 weeks for processing.
